Tagged with GPS transmitters, young griffon vultures from the Rhodope Mountains rewilding area continue to make remarkable journeys. As part of the LIFE Vultures project, based in Bulgaria and Greece, such tagging is giving a better understanding of vulture behaviour and aiding in their conservation.

Within my first months at Rewilding Europe, I was fortunate enough to travel to many of the rewilding areas, meet great people and get some amazing insights into how we are going to reach our rewilding goals!

For every day that passes there are now more and more nature and wildlife safari opportunities in Europe. You can travel around on your own, by bike or car and with map or gps in hand. Or maybe use some assistance to more easily get to the best spots, the most charismatic wildlife and the most interesting people.
