Rewilding can deliver game-changing benefits for people and nature, but only if it is scaled up dramatically. Continued financial support from the Dutch Postcode Lottery is critical to Rewilding Europe’s upscaling efforts.

Funding from the Dutch Postcode Lottery has been instrumental to the growth of Rewilding Europe over the last 10 years. The lottery’s ongoing support will help us to deliver even more positive impact.

Rewilding Europe’s latest Dutch Postcode Lottery Award pays testament to the success of rewilding efforts to date, which have opened the door to a wilder, more liveable Europe.

With support from Rewilding Europe, the rewilding of the Bunloit Estate will enhance wild nature, boost the local economy and lock up carbon. The estate’s innovative management approach could drive further nature recovery across the region.

A 1 million euro special donation, received by Rewilding Europe Capital at the annual “Goed Geld Gala” of the Dutch Postcode Lottery yesterday evening, will see support for European nature-based businesses scaled up.

At the annual “Goed Geld Gala” of the Dutch Postcode Lottery, held at Amsterdam’s Carré Theatre on March 4, Rewilding Europe received a contribution of 900,000 euros. This will allow Rewilding Europe’s efforts to be significantly scaled up.

The newly opened island, one of five created in the Markermeer as part of the Netherlands-based Marker Wadden rewilding project, attracted crowds of nature lovers. By creating new habitat and improving water quality, the project is reconnecting people with wild nature and boosting biodiversity.

At the Annual Charity Gala of the Dutch Postcode Lottery, held at Amsterdam’s Carré Theatre on February 15, Rewilding Europe received a 500,000 euro donation towards its rewilding work across Europe.

A 25-minute documentary featuring renowned TV presenter and Dutch Postcode Lottery Ambassador Humberto Tan was released in Amsterdam today. Produced by New Earth Films productions and Buro JAM for National Geographic in the Netherlands, the documentary – titled “Door Het Oog” (“Through the Eye of” in English) – showcases Tan’s visits to the Velebit Mountains and Central Apennines in July and September. Here he shot photos of Rewilding Europe’s ongoing work, as well as local landscapes, wildlife and people.
