Rewilding Europe is excited to announce that on 25 March 2014, the Supervisory Board accepted Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente as a new board member. Odile was already supporting our initiative as a Special Advisor, but is now going to take a more active role and a responsibility in our initiative through her new role.
The Supervisory Board now consists of 4 members: Wiet de Bruijn (chairman, Netherlands), Pierre-André Mourgue d’Algue (Switzerland) and Henrique Pereira (Portugal, based in Germany).
Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente will bring additional skills and networks to the board, in particular her background in communication and her experience in the non-for profit sector (as a board member of WWF Spain and general director of the Fundación Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente). A biography of Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente can be read here.
Odile is very excited about her new role: ‘This new challenge, as a more active member of Rewilding Europe, is very exciting since I believe so much can be done for nature and rural development in Europe under the umbrella of this much needed initiative. I hope to help in any way possible making Rewilding Europe’s vision a reality.”
Odile will participate in the next Supervisory Board meeting in June 2014, which will take place in the Velebit rewilding area in Croatia.
