CoalitionWILD has launched the Wilder World Challenge, where people under 30 are encouraged to submit their ideas on how to create a wilder world, through the CoalitionWILD Facebook page by July 1.
Projects can range from local to global in scope and can include anything that makes the world a wilder place – however big or small. Each idea will help show the world how young people can celebrate and protect nature through a new generational movement, promoting and supporting successful projects and innovative ideas. Projects will be evaluated based on likelihood of success, potential impact, creativity and innovation, and must be submitted to CoalitionWILD’s Facebook Wilder World Challenge page by midnight on July 1, 2013.
A panel of international judges will then select the best ideas. The winners are invited to present their ideas to the world at the 10th World Wilderness Congress WILD10, held in Salamanca, Spain in October 2013.
CoalitionWILD initiative inspires and empowers young people by providing a social media platform for innovative ideas, on-the-ground projects, activities and events, while focusing attention on the power of younger generations to initiate change.
CoalitionWILD is a partnership between The WILD Foundation, The Murie Center and Simon Jackson, founder of the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition.
