Understanding rewilding through illustrations

Illustrations can help make rewilding concepts clear, accessible and engaging. Jeroen Helmer of ARK Rewilding Nederland has created many of the images we use to explain landscape visions, the role of keystone species and the natural processes that shape healthy ecosystems.

Many of these illustrations are available through ARK Rewilding Nederland’s database, most of them in multiple languages and free to use. They are widely shared by Rewilding Europe and regularly requested for online, educational and landscape communication. Read more about Jeroen’s work in our interview, The art of rewilding.
