Forever Forest Foundation

Fundacja Las na Zawsze

Our goal is to establish a “Forest in every county” in Poland by 2035, engaging local communities and businesses in the process.o restore biodiversity and natural processes in Poland through a three-pillar rewilding strategy:

Afforestation aimed at biodiversity: Creating diverse, broadleaf ecosystems on wastelands that mimic natural forests (not commercial plantations).
Strict Protection: Securing mature forests legally to ensure they remain “forever” protected from logging, allowing natural senescence and decay processes.
Active Renaturalization: Transforming degraded commercial monocultures into wilder ecosystems by introducing deadwood and light gaps (planned large-scale pilot for 2026)

Project: Forever Forest Foundation
Region: Poland
Aim and vision: At Forever Forest,, we believe the health of our planet is inseparable from our mental well-being. Our primary focus is the protection of mature forests—irreplaceable, biodiverse ecosystems that serve as essential climate stabilizers and "sensory sanctuaries" for people. By acquiring land ownership, we legally secure these forests forever, ensuring they are never logged. In addition to protection, we plant new, biodiverse forests to restore ecological balance.
We envision a world where companies act as guardians of the planet, ensuring a resilient environment for the health, sanity, and balance of present and future generations.
Other activities: Community involved, Education, Research
Results you aim to accomplish in 10 years from now on: By 2035, our goal is to establish at least one legally protected forest—whether newly planted or ancient and preserved—in every single county in Poland. In 10 years, our network of 300+ biodiversity enclaves will serve as vital oases for nature.
Results so far: Scale of Impact: Successfully protected and planted over 250 hectares of biodiverse ecosystems across Poland.
Business Model Innovation: Created a sustainable financing model partnering with major companies (e.g., Polpharma, OBI, BNP Paribas) treating nature restoration as a core ESG value, not charity.
Education & Community: Built a massive engaged community (social media reach, volunteers) shifting public perception from "forest as lumber" to "forest as a complex ecosystem."
Legal Precedents: Developed legal frameworks for long-term private land protection tailored to Polish law (draft of the statute of areas of socially protected nature)
Inspirational value: Working on this initiative has proven that nature possesses an incredible capacity for self-regulation if only given the space. We are gaining invaluable knowledge about local biodiversity and the role of keystone species. Our greatest inspiration is witnessing the return of wild, untamed life and the growing engagement of the local community, which is starting to perceive wild nature as shared capital.
Experience you would like to share: Marketing and Fundraising Know-How: We can share our expertise in building effective “Nature-Based Economy” models and communicating rewilding to the business sector (CRS/ESG).
Case Studies: Sharing data from our upcoming renaturalization/deadwood creation project in commercial forests.
Energy & Scale: Our “Forest in every county” BHAG serves as an inspiring example of scaling local action.
Experience you would like to gain: Effective nature-based economy and funding models for rewilding projects. Methods for assisting and initiating natural forest regeneration on post-agricultural and post-forestry lands. Monitoring carbon sequestration in soil and forest biomass. Methodologies for assessing and enhancing biodiversity levels in forested areas. Building the climate resilience of forest ecosystems. Monitoring and researching natural disturbances in forest ecosystems.
