Going live earlier today, the new Rewilding Europe website is visually stunning, inspirational and user-friendly. An essential rewilding resource for a global audience, dive in to celebrate Europe’s magnificent wild nature, and to learn more about who we are, what we do and why we do it, and also what we can offer you.

Rewilding Europe is celebrating this milestone relaunch by conducting interviews with prominent figures in conservation and rewilding across Europe over the coming months. We are delighted and honoured that Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands has agreed to feature as the first interviewee of this series. We invite you to read her exclusive, inaugural interview and message.

The culmination of months of behind-the-scenes effort, and packed with information and rewilding-related news items from across Europe, the new site is a one-stop shop aimed at everyone from rewilding “newbies” and nature lovers through to partners, donors and experienced rewilding practitioners.

“Creating a site that meets everybody’s needs isn’t easy,” says Frans Schepers, Rewilding Europe’s Managing Director. “But I think we’ve struck exactly the right balance. Capturing the positive and progressive mood around rewilding, it should really help drive the rewilding movement forwards across the continent.”

Rewilding Europe is today promoting rewilding as a new conservation approach. Not only in theory, but in practice across all of our operational areas, which currently stretch from Swedish Lapland to Romania’s Danube Delta. Informative and educational, this website also invites people to experience and participate in rewilding, and to take advantage of pioneering tools such as Rewilding Europe Capital, the European Wildlife Bank, the European Rewilding Network and the European Safari Company.

Please enjoy browsing our new site. We hope it inspires you as much as Europe’s wild nature inspires us!
