A special Rewilding Europe Award was launched at this year’s European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The award’s prize-winning photos skilfully captured the beauty of nature and elements of European rewilding.

A new grant from the Cartier for Nature foundation will support rewilding in both the Southern Carpathians and Iberian Highlands, with a primary focus on the reintroduction of free-roaming herbivores.

An environmental catastrophe is playing out on the Oder River. As part of a cross-border NGO alliance, the Rewilding Oder Delta team is calling for rigorous investigation, a clear focus on the river’s full-scale restoration, and the abandonment of all harmful hydro-engineering plans.
