We are seeking a Geospatial and Monitoring Officer, eager to support our teams in data collection, management and analysis.
The Geospatial and Monitoring Officer will support the Rewilding Team and the field teams of Rewilding Europe’s 10 landscapes in spatial data collection, management, and analysis, that is needed for monitoring and decision-making purposes. The Geospatial and Monitoring Officer will lead on the job training of field staff in the use of ArcGIS, EarthRanger and other data collection and monitoring tools, ensuring that data is collected and analysed in such a way that it can be consolidated across the network of landscapes.
Together with the field teams, the Geospatial and Monitoring Officer will also support the roll-out of simple but effective monitoring protocols that allow Rewilding Europe to measure the impact on the rewilding of trophic chains, natural grazing, forests, peatlands, rivers, and delta systems. To provide that in-depth support, the Geospatial and Monitoring Officer is expected to spend periods of up to 2 months at a time, in the landscapes.
